Nuts For Jericho
Nuts for Jericho has a plan, but it can only succeed with the support of all Jericho Fans! One of our goals at NFJ has always been to support our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, the very men and women who work and sacrifice everyday so that Jericho will alway remain a fantasy. Hopefully, you will join us in supporting these brave individuals.
We are asking for donations from everyone on every board to help us purchase Season 1 of Jericho DVD's. Don't worry, you can just send whatever you can afford! A PayPal account has been set up and whatever donations we receive will be used to purchase the Season 1 DVD and have them sent to Staten Island Project Homefront. Any money left over will be sent directly to Staten Island Homefront to help cover their costs of shipping. SI Project Homefront in turn will distribute them to our military men and women abroad. One of the items being requested by the men and women overseas, are DVDs. We plan to make the purchase the end of September so we can take advantage of the pre-release price and free shipping at Amazon.com, so please give whatever you can afford. We believe it's a well deserved gift to those who are giving us the greatest gift of all, our freedom.
Please, if you have anything you can spare, support the troops while you support Jericho!
Last, but truly not least, we would like to thank Rubber Poultry for our awesome graphic; he always comes through for Jericho and it's fans.
To go directly to the PayPal button to donate, click here. Donations will be accepted through Sunday, September 23, 2007.

Nuciferous, Nuts, and News
Don't forget. CBS is pre-empting Jericho tonight. Pass the word that Jericho will be back next Friday night. Since CBS didn't announce this people may be upset to learn Jericho won't be on.
Thanks to Bob for my Rockin'Girl Award. Go visit Bob's blog even if it isn't about Jericho because he's a Ranger too.
"Earlier this year BlogTalkRadio helped make headlines when a campaign launched in part on a show hosted on the website prompted fans irate over the cancellation of CBS television show "Jericho" to send 40,000 pounds of nuts to CBS. The effort paid off, and the TV network has decided to bring the show back for another season."
Nuciferous-WOW!
You've got to go visit here. There's any information you could want about Jericho.
New video, fan sites, media coverage, and much, much more.
Truly awesome!

"CBS’s 'Power' Loss"
"CBS’s new Drew Carey game show “Power of 10” dropped 26 percent from its Tuesday preview last night to post a 2.0 rating among adults 18 to 49. The show tied for 7th place for the night and matched an NBC repeat of “Most Outrageous Moments” for the 8 p.m. hour."

Jericho, Nielsen's, and Schizophrenics
Digg-A-Thon was a big success so we will be digging every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday until further notice.
Thank you to all who participated.
I have had a number of requests for a newsletter. The purpose of this newsletter is:
1. To try to get people interested in Jericho
2. To cover any news about Jericho whether it be a newspaper article, blog, or website.
3. To deliver the content of my 3 blogs in brief
4. To deliver any news about anyone's "mission" to help Jericho whether it's a project that needs help-Digg-A-Thon- or places we're needed to go vote.
5. This newsletter will not repeat or rehash anything on the boards. If there's something on a board that you would like to see in a newsletter then I will add it at your request only.
Finally, please bear with me. I have a subscribe box on all 3 blogs so you can subscribe if you like. One of them looks Nuts but it won't exactly fit.
I have set this, for now, to be a monthly newsletter until I get comfortable with it but I might do a test one over the weekend.
Check out this article and read the comments. You don't want to miss it.
The writer replied back to me:
"I hadn't heard about all the preemptions of the Jericho reruns, since it seems to undermine both the chance for potential new viewers to get caught up on the series and their desire to train people to watch it at a particular time, since it isn't even coming on consistently at that time in the first place. I'll have to confess that I haven't watched Jericho because of my fear that I would get into good shows, only to have networks cancel on me. Refer back to this comment I made last November:
If people aren't willing to devote themselves to a series while it's on the air because they are afraid the cancel-happy networks are just going to pull the rug out from under them, does this mean that the need for a new model is developing for these types of shows? It seems that this current system, where networks want to push shows that are more involved and have a longer shelf-life, is contradicting with the older form of throwing on self-contained shows at the beginning of a season and quickly canceling many of the series."

Digging For Jericho
Announcing:
Tuesday August 7, 2007
Jericho Digg-A-Thon
I have this set up where you only have to go to one page to digg everything:
DIGG
If you have not registered at Digg then please see below and use my invite.
Why is Digg so important to Jericho?
Once a submission has earned a critical mass of Diggs, it becomes “popular” and jumps to the homepage in its category. If it becomes one of the most popular, it qualifies as a “Top 10”. If a submission doesn't receive enough Diggs within a certain time period, it eventually falls out of the “Upcoming” section.
The system only works when users actively participate on a large scale, so make sure to do your part and Digg content that matters to you!
Basically, the more Diggs a Jericho article gets the more people who will see it. I'm not talking about 10, 50, or even 100 Diggs-we need thousands. Do you want CBS to stand up and notice us again? Do you want to support the cast and crew of Jericho? Do you want more viewers? Here's a simple way to do all that and more.

"The Family Redstone: multibillion history of dysfunction"
"Filed in November by Michael Redstone, Sumner's nephew, and by the trustees of three trusts established decades ago by Sumner's father, Mickey, the suit alleges Sumner wrested control of National Amusements by secretly engineering a purchase of shares from the family trusts at low-ball prices in 1972 and 1984."
Since Sumner and his daughter are also at odds will Leslie Moonves end up in charge of it all?

Jericho Pre-Emptions and Dresden Files
I continue to be concerned about the Nielsen ratings as they involve Jericho. There have been pre-emptions in certain areas for the last two weeks and Jericho is also being pre-empted August 10 and 24 by football.
While Nielsen ratings have always concerned me in regards to how accurate they are I am more concerned today after reading this article:
"A glitch in Nielsen Media Research equipment led to lower-than-normal ratings for USA Network for five days last week.
Nielsen confirmed Friday that an "equipment issue" was to blame for the "problems, which underreported USA Network ratings from July 28-Aug. 1. The nature of the equipment problems wasn't clear."
This is an error that was caught. How many more could be happening that we never hear about?
"Smackdown," 2.8/6 took the 9 o'clock title, while NBC followed with a 2.7/6 for its "Las Vegas" repeat. A "Jericho" rerun on CBS and the second hour of FOX's movie tied for third with a 2.3/5 apiece. ABC's "Greek" (from its sister cable station ABC Family) trailed with a 1.5/3.
SCIFI Channel has cancelled The Dresden Files after one season.
"SCIFI states the reason for the cancellation is due to production costs. Though it wasn't a ratings blockbuster, The Dresden Files gains a loyal fan following. Like fans being "Nuts" over Jericho at CBS, Dresden fans are setting out to bring their magic to SCIFI in an effort to resurrect their favorite wizard-detective back on television."
